Valencia

Outfit; Hat, Bardot Top, Shorts - Primark, Shoes - Depop 'gucci-esk', Backpack - Tkmaxx

I love travelling and this summer I went on an adventure to Valencia, Spain!
There is so much to see and do and you certainly get your step count in exploring.
You can explore the city and all the architecture and then when you need to chill out there is an array of wonderful beaches.

This was the view from lunch one day it was so peaceful and relaxing this restaurant is called Restaurant Panorama.
The food was also A-MA-ZING!

I also took my work mascot Penny Bear with me and she and I both tried the traditional drink of Valencia called Horchata, which is essentially a milk made from Tiger Nuts, it is so nice and refreshing when you have been walking round the city all day.
Horchata is available in pretty much any cafe, however if you get the chance you can also visit the Horchaterias around town.

Outfits;    Left - Red co-ord Quiz                 Right- Blue dress - eBay
Obviously I wasn't just with Penny I also had my 2 best friend with me, we had an amazing time exploring and luckily for us, one of friends is Spanish, so she was able to help us learn a lot more while we were visiting, and I can now actually speak a few words and phrases in Spanish other than Hola!

One of the places I highly recommend visiting is, The Botanical Gardens known as Jardin Botanico, which are huge but it is one of the most peaceful places, you are able to just sit and watch the world go by, or you can get involved with Tai Chi and meditation classes.

While we were visiting the world cup was happening and of course I had to support my fave' Neymar ... I mean Brazil. My justification supporting Brazil is that Ireland never qualify so I can have my favourite based on my favourite footballers.

One of the best things about Spain is flamenco dancing and if you get the chance you NEED to go a flamenco show usually it is about 10€ but you get a glass of wine or sangria with that too.

Dress is eBay
Swimming Costume - Primark

I obviously had loads of outfits throughout the holiday and if you want to see some some more outfits, you can head over to my Instagram and see them all.
If you want to see more feel free to give me a follow and let me know!

Iceland

Last year I went on an amazing adventure with my best friends for my 21st birthday.

Here are just a few pictures and memories from our trip.

This is taken at a massive glacier cap called Mýrdalsjökull which is amazing, the size you cannot imagine, sadly due to the climate changing the glacier reduces massively each year and 20 years ago where I am sat here was frozen over.

Iceland is an amazing landscape which is ever changing in the photo above you are able to see where the Eurasian and American tectonic plates are splitting and eventually this will cause Iceland to split into two parts.

Here you can see the famous Icelandic horses NOT ponies; but they are only small as you can see because I am only 5'2".
They are such gentle beings and love tourists especially if you bring them a special snack.

Here you can see me with my best friends at Gullfoss which is an insanely big waterfall.
It is so powerful and you get completely soaked if you go anywhere near.
If you take a trip to Iceland this is a must for anyone, however, do go prepare to be absolutely soaked.

The night after my birthday we were all walking back to our apartment after dinner, when I saw a fog begin to grow in the sky I paused and my friends turned to me to see why I had stopped walking, I had sense of what was about to happen, I told them just wait here and watch this suddenly the sky lit up with a green roar and my friends were awestruck, seeing the Northen Lights or the Aurora Borealis is genuinely one of the most amazing experience and I was so blessed that I got to share the experience with my friends.
Unfortunately my phone pictures doesn't do it any justice, however I can remember it from the memory of the photo.

I had so many amazing memories and adventures in Iceland and I can't wait to visit again one day.

Islay

It has been that time of year when people flock to elsewhere to have a mid-year break from the reality of life!

I have been on my mid-year break to the Isle of Islay in Scotland on the west coast.

So sit down get a cup of tea and enjoy some of my holiday snaps!

These are just a few of the amazing sunsets we have had while we were here and we were so fortunate to have such great weather!

And of course, there was plenty of wildlife wandering freely, since it's only a small island the farmers don't seem to worry they would ever lose them. Also, I had some eggs from Islay while I have been which are super free range as the chickens just roam where ever and I can honestly tell you I don't think I could eat another ''free range'' egg they taste scarily different.

And of course, plenty of adventures, some in a kayak which I still can't believe I did, but yeah, I had to have a few pain killers the next day from the aches, but the price of memories ay and a few beach days with my family and my fur babies!

And a holiday is not a holiday without a few fancy meals out and getting all dressed up and I have to tell you this tapas was tooo die for!

And after the busy, fun packed days my little babies were all tucked up snug ready for a good night sleep together despite having a bed each!

That my summer holiday summed up for you I hope you like some of the pictures.
Where are you off to this summer or where would be your dream destination?

First Travel Post

view from my room

sunset from the garden

Its always nice to have a nice little get a away from the everyday crazy, hectic world.
I am currently having a bit of that escape time in Scotland,
These are just a couple of shots I captured from my iPhone
of the surprisingly good weather.
It has been very warm and sunny here in Scotland
unlike the usual gales and rain storms
however due to the beautiful weather
I have been enjoying time on the beach with family and going on many walks.

Maybe its summer where you are and you are having a wonderful time too. Where ever you are, whatever you be doing, I hope you are having a nice day.

Until next time
