Beauty

Helllloo!
I was reading Cosmo' online the other day and I saw an article about how much your face is worth... no not your value as a model, but, how much is the makeup you actually wear, with so many different products we put on our face, it can mount up.
I dread to think how much I have in my draw in my room, but, I thought I would share with you what I have in my makeup bag for the general everyday grab and how much that comes to.
I have even got some of my friends in on it to share with you tooo!
Just to see what makeup bag prices vary between my group of friends and our different careers.

I think it's amazing to look at how much we spend on just an everyday look.
When I was reading cosmo' I was amazed to hear that Lady GaGa had over £600 of makeup on, and after reading about how much the girls at the cosmo office who work in the world of beauty and fashion had, I was interested to see what it would be like for me and my friends who work in different environments to see how we actually spend just as much if not more.
A big thank you to my friends for getting involved!

Lash'N'Brow Hack
Growing up, my Mum always gave me great beauty tips for looking after yourself.

One of those has stuck with me, that I swear by, and, it helps you grow and maintain your 'lashes and 'brows!

I have always received comments about how naturally full my brows are, and, how long my lashes are naturally.

It was all down to a beauty hack my Mum taught me and you may be surprised when you hear this.....  Vaseline. Yes, really it honestly works wonders.

All you need is Vaseline and something to apply it with, I get the disposable mascara wands from Amazon, they are soo cheap and you won't feel bad about just chucking them in the bin afterwards because they can be so cheap

Simply get your wand and roll it in the Vaseline, until it is coated nicely, and then simply comb it through your lashes it may make your lashes look a little clumpy but this is just while you let them absorb.

Then for your brows, it's pretty much the same just give it a good comb through and you could even apply it to the outer areas of your brow to encourage them to grow out

I would say you may want to probably do this twice a week for a couple of weeks before you see any major results as it doesn't work overnight, but, I promise you once you get them going you will be hooked.

Usually when I will let my brows to grow out a bit and then I will go and get them shaped as it will give that definition to your face even if your brows look a little untamed for a week you never know you might even start a trend... even though Cara Delevingne kinda has the full brow look going on, but, you can make it your own!

Not only is this a great hack for growing your eyebrows and lashes, it is a great and easy way to moisturise them too

Let me know your beauty hacks below and let me know if you do this too!

If you love spa days, facials and all things pamper like then you will love this post!

I would say this is my go to beauty product, when my face needs a fresh start, when all the pollution and all the grime in the air has clogged my pores.
So if you feel you need a fresh start with your skin listen up!!

You are going to need;
a towel (it's very messy)
a makeup brush (a nice cheep one)
activated charcoal capsules
Elmer's glue or non toxic kids glue

Step one.
Get everything ready and sorted together because once you start it will get tooo messy to get anything

Step two.
Take 3 of the capsules and pop them open carefully they love to go every where. Then add between 1 to 2 tablespoons of the non toxic glue just add a bit at a time until you get a nice gooey consistency

Step three.
Once everything is mixed nicely heat your face through with a hot towel that has just been ran under hot water just to help open up your pores!

Step four.
Grab your brush and apply fairly thick to your face one the areas that need the most attention, however I would recommend doing it in patches and not applying it too near your eyes because it stings like a bee when you peel it off!

ahahhaah #selfieeeee

Leave for 10 - 20 minutes for it to set
You will know it has set when you will feel you have had extreme botox as your face will have set really tight it also has a similar feeling to mod rock if you have ever used that 😂

Once it has all set peel of gently and it will gradually pull all the things clogged in your pores out like magic.
Once everything is off give your face a cleanse to just wash off any little bits left behind.

and if you want to see a gross picture off the afterwards then here you are p.s you have been warned scroll quick!

It's really not that bad but
the little white dots on the mask are bit of dirt from the pour that may have been lingering from makeup, pollution, etc'

What are your favourite beauty DIY hacks let me know also let me know if you have tried this or are going too!!!

 July favourites

Piñita Colada - The Body Shop

One of my favourite things this month to use is the body sorbet, it is amazing on so many levels, not only does it moisturise your skin and smells amazing it also has a nice refreshing feel so it has been great to use this month with the heat!

got2b oil-licious

This has been a godsend for my hair with the unusual heat it has brought humidity and that has made my hair frizz on new levels! IKR! However, one day I was having a little shop and I saw this and thought why not, so I got it and well it worked wonders hence why I'm telling you about it!

N°7 Beautiful Skin

Forget everything you have ever used to remove make-up this is without a doubt a miracle worker! I know it is to remove eye makeup but that is what is great essentially about it as it really sensitive and delicate on your skin especially if you have sensitive skin like me. I bought it once over a year ago when I was at Boots in a sale and I bought it because I liked the colour of it (I know it's such a stupid reason) anyway, I used it and if you think micellar water is magic, then you will die using this. I would recommend taking the top layer off with maybe your normal face wash to just get the main foundation of it off and then this because this picks up everything and you will just end up wasting it getting your main base of makeup off but then to ensure you have got everything out of your pores use this baby, honestly, I would not lie to you, I promise you will love it, plus, you can take my word for it because I haven't been paid to say this!

Surf Days - PINK

This has to be one of my favourites due to the fact it's a 2in1 hair and body mist. It smells like a beachy Hawaiian holiday and I could not tell you how many people said 'ooo Cera you smell nice what perfume is that' and little did they know it was just a body mist it honestly is amazing and I used nearly all of it up so I'm praying that the next time I go in PINK they still sell it or the smell even if it is under another name.

Tanya Bakes - Tanya Burr

This has been one of my favourite things to use this month I love baking lots of different treats. What I love about Tanya's books is that she has lots of personalised recipes for everyone to try which gives it a nice twist to the usual cook book made by a company and doesn't necessarily have any personality and stories behind the recipes.

These are just a few things that I have been really loving using this month, let me know in the comments what you have been loving this month or let me know on my social media!

Lush Haul!

I loveee lush and all their products! I'm not going to lie, I buy a lottt of their products and last weekend I had a visit and bought a few things and I thought I would share them with you!

Honey Bee bath bomb!

This is gorgeoussss, I'm sure it is a new one, as I have never seen it, however, I picked it up and fell in love with the honey smell, it's not too overpowering which you can get with some chemically bath bombs, which is why lush are great because it is all very natural and you can also smell the other essential oils before you even put it in the bath!

Yoga bomb

Namaste

This is one of my all time favourites it kind of reminds me of Mars a bit because of the colour! I love the smell of this bath bomb too it is soo relaxing and so it should be I guess with it being a yoga bomb.

Blackberry Bath Bomb
I love this bath bomb its soo nice and fruity, it feels to me really nice and refreshing! What is also great is that it has bomb written across it so you don't mistake it for another bath product.

Fizzbanger!
This is an amazing bath bomb it has the most refreshing citrus smell to it and it even has popping candy in it so it is like a sweet in a bath bomb, it's a 2 in 1, however I wouldn't advise eating it because I imagine it's a better bath bomb than a snack.

 The Experimenter
This is just one of the most amazing bombs the colour and glitter and yes, popping candy is in this one too! It smells soo good too, as exciting as it looks it has a nice calming smell to it so you will get a nice relaxing bath with this one!

I can't wait to use all of these bath bombs if you like the look of any then you know where to get them (...lush..) and if you want to see any of them once they have been in the bath to see what the end result is like follow me on my social media where I will keep you updated on the end result of them!

The Body Shop - Oils of Life

I think it was either in this months issue or last months issue of InStyle, they was a free samples of Oils of Life and I have really dry prone skin, so, I tried it out to see if it was any good and I have to say it is absolutely amazing literally within 24 hours it stopped it being soo dry and was almost what you would call a normal complexion.

Last week I went shopping with one of my best friends, who is moving to China for a whole year for her year away at uni, so we had one last shopping spree for a year together.
On my travels around our local shopping centre we went to The Body Shop.

So naturally when I went into The Body Shop I had a nosey around the shop, and I did buy an Oils of Life 50ml. I'm not going to lie to you, it is a little pricey and I was treating my self a bit here, but, if you do have sensitive skin/ dry skin/ eczema etc. I would highly recommend it, there is a lot in one jar of it and you only need to use a very small amount, so your not going to run out after a week of using it.

The cream comes in a cute little amber glass jar which when you take the initial lid off, it has a seal plug which I think probably keeps it fresh.
The cream itself has an almost gel texture, even thought there is a gel cream also available and an oil with a little pipette kinda thing which I wanted to get but I really didn't need it.

The cream also contains 3 precious seed oils, which I think is what gives it, its smell, which is a really fresh smell, with a hint of spice, which I think is probably from the seed oil, but you can't really smell it once your skin has absorbed the oil, the seeds are Black Cumin oil from Egypt, Rose Hip oil from Chile and Camellia oil from China.

KYLIE COSMETICS

I recently caved into the cult of the Kardashian's or Jenner's should I say, as I have bought a Kylie lip kit. I purchased the Dolce K matte colour, and so I thought why not share it with you.

My first impression is obviously the packaging in which it arrived in, its not the standard old box you receive any old package in. It is a nice slim black box with white 'lipstick' dripped round the edges.
On opening the box you receive a lovely little card from Kylie thanking you for purchasing a lipstick.

Then we get to the exciting bit, the lip kit itself, it comes in a little box that you can keep it all neat and together. There is two bits to the kit one is the lip liner and the other is the lipstick.

The lip liner is slightly lighter than the lipstick, but it does blend well regardless. It has a nice creamy texture and its easy to apply so you don't have to go over it like 100 times before you feel you have enough applied.

The lipstick is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G the colour is so rich and this may sound a little odd but it smells amazing, it smells of a mixture of cake, chocolate and coffee. I have found that the colour as well lasts for hours as long as you don't eat or drink?? anything oily it will last for a long time, however I have ate oily foods it does take it off quite easily, but that just how it is because at the end of the day there has to be a way of removing it.

The colour I got was a matte so when you first apply it, it has a glossy look to it but within maybe a minute it will be completely dry and you can carry on going about your day.

Basically that is like a little look at the lip kit by Kylie Jenner if you are thinking about getting one, I would recommend it they are really nice to wear and so easy to apply. I would say if you get one, just as an after care make sure you moisturise your lips, as you would with any matte, as they are quite drying and you don't want to end up with chapped lips.

and if you are wondering what it looked like on me, then here is a picture of me from the other evening enjoying a cocktail (that looks like emoji for cocktails!), with the lip kit on.

Lush!

Lush is an amazing bath/shower soap and everything bathroom related shop, if you have never visited it. Every time I'm in there I go in I can't resist picking up a few bath melts or bath bombs.

This is the sunnyside bubble bar which you might be able to tell from the photos it is a solid gold colour and it is packed with gold glitter. Also on an added note it smells like summer so its so nice at the moment as we getting so close to summer it almost makes you feel your there already.

This is the brightside bubble bar, which you might be able to tell from the picture it is very bright, especially on the orange and yellow colour it does have like pink/red also and I have to say this bar is so good because you can probably get 3 or 4 baths out of it depending on what size block you get. It smells like soap (literally), the smell is a fresh lemoney (I couldn't think of a real word) soap kind of smell, I would defiantly recommend this if you are in lush any time soon.

Finally I got this amazing bath bomb, now I'm not going to lie to you I have bought this about 9 billion times, it is my absolute favourite, it is called Twilight bath bomb. It is very pink on the outside but on the inside its solid blue, in the end you end up with a pastel violet coloured bath (the water, not your actual tub). The smell is on another level it smells amazing, if you try and capture your summer in a smell, this is what it would smell like, it is the best one by my opinion.

I just also like to say that I have bought these all out of my own money and the views are my own not of anyone else.
Also if you have sensitive skin you also be ok with the lush products as it is all very natural and I have really sensitive skin and I haven't found anything that has upset my skin.
